Leadly organizes public product-safety evidence, optional Community participation, and local device features. These terms explain the scope of that guidance and your responsibilities when using or posting through the service.

Leadly is meant to organize evidence, not replace authoritative instruction.
Freshness indicators should be reviewed before relying on a result.
Public pages and in-app results are shaped from the same current catalog view.
Service scope
Results can depend on barcode capture quality, OCR text, manual search input, recall normalization, and the freshness of the current catalog snapshot.
No professional substitute
Leadly is not a substitute for professional inspection, emergency guidance, medical advice, or certified laboratory testing.
If exposure risk is urgent or health-related, stop using the item and confirm next steps with the appropriate agency, clinician, or qualified professional.
Community participation
Community experience can add useful context, but a post is not verified evidence unless Leadly expressly links it to a reviewed source or record.
You keep ownership of content you create. You confirm that you have the rights and permission needed to post it and that it does not violate another person's privacy, intellectual property, or other rights.
When you publish, you give Leadly a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate, secure, and moderate Community. This license is limited to the service and ends when the content is deleted, except for limited safety, backup, and legal retention described in the Privacy Policy.
Community posts may be incomplete, mistaken, or outdated. Unless a statement is tied to reviewed evidence, treat it as another person's context rather than a Leadly finding or official instruction.
You are responsible for checking authoritative sources before making a health, disposal, remediation, purchase, or recall decision.
Posts, profiles, and interactions must follow the Community standards, including rules for useful evidence context, private information, respectful conduct, prohibited content, and commercial disclosures.
Leadly may label, limit, remove, or preserve content and may restrict, suspend, or delete accounts when needed to enforce these terms, investigate a report, protect people, or comply with law. Reporting content does not guarantee a particular outcome.
You can remove your own content where that control is available and can delete your Leadly account from Settings under Data and privacy. Deletion removes your public profile and posts from Leadly's public view.
Deletion cannot erase screenshots or copies someone shared outside Leadly. Limited reports, enforcement records, and backups may remain for the periods described in the Privacy Policy.
Using Leadly responsibly
The app should make evidence easier to interpret, but critical decisions still need validation from the right source.
You are responsible for validating critical decisions with authoritative sources and for following recall, disposal, refund, and remediation instructions when applicable.
You are also responsible for reviewing exported files before sharing them, since exports may contain product history and local telemetry metadata from your device.
Leadly may continue to operate in a limited cached mode when your device is offline, and some results can depend on locally stored history.
The current target dataset refresh cadence is every 7 days. Review freshness indicators before relying on a result.
Changes
Leadly may update these terms as features, data sources, or operational requirements change. The effective date shown on this page controls the current version.
